This week in the studio, we continued to refine the app based on user feedback from previous tests.

The app now has a main flow, so for this week's usability test, we chose to start with a task - "use the app from the moment they receive a notification saying that a batch of sweet potatoes is about to spoil and find a solution using the app".

We observed that the flow is very intuitive, with all users completing the task quickly and clearly without any issues or assistance. However, most users did not understand the button added after confirming the recipe. They mentioned that it is not inviting enough and does not stand out enough to be noticed. We hope to address this issue in our meeting with Hezi this week and test the button again next week.

After the meeting with Ivy about the microcopy, we made several changes to the app, the most important being the opening sentence. Instead of motivating users to take action out of fear of loss, we now motivate them through a positive sense of saving. In the usability tests, we saw that the new sentence indeed gives users a better feeling, and their perspective on the solutions becomes more positive and more motivated to action.

Later this week, we are meeting again with Joanna to show her the implementation of the feedback from the previous meeting.

We hope that this week we can finalize the UX/UI and begin testing the app with different users.
